Sooner Promise @ OU: An OHLAP Partnership
-in the fall of 2006, the University of Oklahoma announced a brand new scholarship program-- Sooner Promise, an OHLAP Partnership. OU recognizes the importance of Oklahoma's Promise- OHLAP ( Oklahoma Higher Learning Access Program) and its mission to serve moderate and lower-
income Oklahomans by providing funding for higher education. Sooner Promise is a four year OU scholarship program that will pay for mandatory fees and books in addition to the tuition currently
covered by Oklahoma's Promise-OHLAP. the value of the scholarship is estimated to be more than
$25,000 over four years and this program ensures that eligible students and their parents will  not be asked to pay for tuition, mandatory fees and books even if costs increase during the four  years of study leading to a bachelor's degree at the university of Oklahoma. it is available  to all  Oklahoma's Promise-OHLAP students who are admitted to and enrolled at OU, receive OHLAP funding, complete the FAFSA (Free application student aid) by March 1st and maintain progress  toward graduation in four years at OU.
