Parents, we need your help! Some of the high school students are not turning in their work. Please make sure your students are completing the assignments in Spark or the paper work which has been sent to them if internet access is not available and returning the completed assignments to the teachers. This is work which is beneficial to the students and we don't want their skills to slip. It will be difficult for teachers in the future to write recommendation letters for scholarships and opportunities if students are not turning in their work and finishing out the year since the opportunity is available to them. They are welcome to accelerate through in classes where they can and get the year wrapped up, but it is important that they finish. Thanks for your support!

Sharon-Mutual will join the nation tomorrow at 8:20 pm which is 20:20 military time by turning on the football stadium lights to honor the 2020 graduating seniors and to symbolize hope and a return to normal soon. We will leave them on for 20 minutes and 20 seconds. We invite everyone to come to the Mutual campus and honk as the lights come on. We ask that everyone remain in your vehicle to maintain social distancing during this pandemic and keep all vehicles off the football and baseball fields.

I know your worlds are CRAZY and I genuinely appreciate everything you all do for us!!! Due to the Covid 19 quarantine, we will be making some changes for the Fall 2020 enrollment. These changes will only affect new students wanting to attend Career Tech. Our current students have already enrolled with us for next year and do not need to do anything else ā€“ unless they are changing programs, for example, an Auto student who wants Health next year will have to go through the Health Careers interview process. Below is a list of the changes that are being made for entrance into our programs: 1. Auto: Interviews will be held in August 2. Construction: Interviews will be held in August 3. Diesel: Interviews will be held in August 4. Health Careers: Interviews will be conducted through the month of April. Please have your students call Don Gaines at 512-705-2267 to set up an interview. Students will need to either fax or e-mail their two required reference forms and questionnaire to: dgaines@hptc.edu or fax ā€“ 580-571-6180. 5. Marketing Management: Interviews will be conducted through the month of April. Please have your students call Katrina McDowell at 580-571-6170 to schedule an interview. Freshman TAP ā€“ Interviews will be conducted through the month of April. Please have students call Danna Goss at 580-243-8416 The following programs have open enrollment and do not require an entrance interview ā€“ BAM, Service Careers and Welding. In order to set up an interview, please have the student call the instructor, and then the instructor will set up a zoom meeting with the student. After they have all their meetings, I will send a list of the students who interviewed, and request a copy of their transcripts and attendance records from the school. If you have any questions or concerns, please call me on my cell - 580-254-4789 and PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO TO HELP YOU GUYS!!!!
