Ju ne 30th is the last day to file for FAFSA seniors to count for the 2020-2021 school year at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. It is also the last day for grades 8-10 to file for Oklahoma's Promise. July 1 counts for the new 8th thru 10th graders. Apply at https://www.okhighered.org/okpromise/

Yearbooks have shipped and should arrive Tuesday. I (Mrs. Green) will let you know when/how you can pick them up next week. You can still order a yearbook, you will have to pay shipping.

OKPromise has a new marketing page: https://myokpromise.org/ If your student was in the 10th grade during the 2019-20 school year and you anticipate that your 2020 income may be under the $55,000 application limit for the Oklahoma’s Promise scholarship due to recent reductions in your income, you may submit an application based on your 2020 estimated income. The application must be submitted prior to the June 30, 2020 deadline at https://secure.okcollegestart.org/applications/Oklahoma_Promise/apply.html. You will be required to provide a copy of your 2020 federal tax return when completed to verify that your 2020 income was under $55,000. The application will be held as pending until the tax documentation is received. Please send any questions to okpromise@osrhe.edu. Any student in grades 8-10 are eligible to apply for Oklahoma's Promise which is a tuition payment program for students who qualify and want to attend higher ed upon graduation. Sharon-Mutual Public Schools will administer the ACT for the CCRA state assessment for the 2020-2021 school year. Students will still have the freedom to take the ACT or SAT on the national administration dates throughout the year. This is simply the accountability piece the school has to do to comply with state requirements. We would like to have your input if you have meaningful comments about the use of the ACT vs. SAT for the CCRA state assessment. A form for your comments is provided on the school website smps.k12.ok.us under Documents >ACT 2020 Public Comment Request. Please submit the form to thopper@smps.k12.ok.us by June 30, 2020.

Attention female high school and junior high athletes! Come meet the new girls coach Megan Phillips Gilchrist on June 4 at 7 PM in the East gym at Mutual. Get acquainted, eat ice cream and cake, and have some fun! See you then!

It’s that time of year again for renewing parking spots for the upcoming football season. If you plan on renewing or not renewing, please email me @ amarlatt@smps.k12.ok.us. If you’d like to text that would be fine as well. Once I get word on who is or is not renewing, we can start discussing who would like a different spot. $50 fee for parking. Thank you.

Students who need to Get your drivers permit this summer, please contact the high school office at 580-989-3231 between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM Monday through Thursday to obtain your certification letter From the school. If you did not pass the eighth grade reading test, it will be offered when school begins in August.

Sharon-Mutual Public Schools is seeking a science instructor for grades 7 through 12 to continue moving forward with a progressive science program preparing students for higher education providing a classroom to make students capable of higher order thinking through meaningful instruction and hands-on activities and experiments.

Sharon-Mutual Public Schools is seeking an agriculture education instructor for grades 8 through 12 to continue moving forward with a successful FFA and ag program. The school's ag barn is approximately three years old. Sharon-Mutual is a rural northwest Oklahoma agricultural community. CDL or willing to obtain is preferred.
