It was a great first day for Elementary enrollment. We were so excited to see our students. The teachers have worked extremely hard to prepare for the safest school year possible. They enjoyed having the opportunity to discuss the learning opportunities with our parents for this year. If you have any questions about your options for your students this year we will be enrolling tomorrow from 2-6 tomorrow and Friday from 9-3. Each student will receive a T-Shirt and you will be able to order Sharon-Mutual water bottles and face masks. SHARON-MUTUAL TEACHERS ARE THE BEST!!!

BACK TO SCHOOL TIME!!! Sharon-Mutual Teachers have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming school year. Information on the Sharon-Mutual Reopening Plan can be found on the school website under Covid Reopening Plan. Enrollment for PreK thru 6th starts today from 2:00 to 6:00. You may enroll on July 22nd and 23rd from 2:00 to 6:00 and July 24th from 9:00 to 3:00. All students need to come to enrollment. This will be for new and transfer students as well. If you have any questions about the the Covid Plan or your learning options for this school year please make plans to attend. Upcoming Dates to Remember: July 22nd, 23rd, & 24th - Enrollment for PreK thru 6th grade from 2:00 to 6:00 at Sharon August 3rd - Teachers report and 7-12 enrollment from 9:00 to 3:00 at Mutual August 6th - First day of school August 7th - Media Day and Ice Cream Social at Mutual Gym. Will post a time at a later date. August 20th - Sharon-Mutual Fair at the Ag Farm Cheerleading and Volleyball practice has already begun. Football will start August 6th. Athletes need to be getting physicals at this time. If you are a Transfer Student applications will be available in the office when you enroll.

Sharon-Mutual teachers are hard at work for this upcoming school year. Today they are in an Autism Training with the International Communication Learning Institute. We have been working on our Reopening Plan for this school year. It will be released in the next few days. If you have any questions please contact your school. Enrollment for grades 7-12 will be at Mutual in the cafeteria on August 3rd from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you are in grades 10-12 and pre-enrolled with Mrs. Hopper in the spring, you do not have to enroll on August 3rd. Schedule changes will be made the first days of school if needed if you pre-enrolled in the spring. New students to Sharon-Mutual need to bring immunization records, transcripts, and a copy of your birth certificate to enroll. See you then!

When students take the first two steps—exploring college and practicing for the SAT®—they’ll qualify for $500 and $1,000 scholarships just by getting ready for college. And they don’t even have to get off the couch. Help students build a college list: This $500 scholarship closes on July 31 for the class of 2021. Students can use their mobile phones or any other device to build a start list of colleges using the college planning site BigFuture™. Support your students with SAT practice: Students become eligible for a $1,000 scholarship when they practice for at least 6 hours with Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy®. It’s important to encourage students to complete the first step—building a college list—by July 31 so they don’t miss out on a chance to win $40,000 for college. Any student participating in ANY extra curricular activity needs a sports physical before beginning that sport. Alliance Health Care is offering free physicals through July 31.

SHARON-MUTUAL LADY TROJANS BASKETBALL CAMP. Coach Gilchrist and Coach Goodwin have been hard at work with the Lady Trojan athletes. They have been lifting weights and conditioning twice a week and having open gym on Sunday nights. We can’t wait to see them in action this fall!!!
