Congratulations to the Sharon-Mutual Boys and Girls basketball teams for achieving the OSSAA Distinguished Academic award. This is achieved by having a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and being ranked in the upper ten percent of their classification. Great athletes and great students! Nice work Trojans!!

Itās time to begin the enrollment process into the HPTC career tech programs for the 20-21 school year!
Due to the increased number of students wanting to attend HPTC, several of their programs will require an entrance interview for this next year.
The HPTC programs that WILL require an entrance interview are:
Auto
Construction
Diesel
Health
Marketing
Multimedia
Sophomore Tap
The programs that will NOT require an interview are: BAM, Service Careers and Welding.
Sophomore who will be juniors: These students attended Sophomore Tours and completed a survey in which they indicated which program they were in. They will receive a letter from that program with the instructions on what they need to do to get into the program.
Juniors who will be seniors new to the program are required to apply and go through entrance interview, references, and any additional information.
Returning HPTC students: If returners want to continue in their current HPTC program ā they do not need to interview. Returners who want to change programs will need to interview for their new program (unless itās BAM, Service Careers, or Welding).
THE REQUIRED ENTRANCE INTERVEIWS WILL TAKE PLACE ON MARCH 24TH & 25TH (March 26th for Marketing) All interviews will take place at HPTC and begin at 3:30 p.m. and end when the last person is interviewed! Students must call the instructor to set up an interview.
Career tech will mail out the letters to the Sophomores this week.
The Horatio Alger Career and Technical Education program scholarship is now available for application at application.oratioalger.org.Ā The application is due by April 15, 2020.
