If your student is needing to get their driver's permit, check with the high school office to see if they passed their 8th grade reading test. Students who normally would have tested in the 8th grade for reading in the spring of 2020 have been exempted for needing their reading test results.

First, I'm excited to announce two partnerships with scholarship providers to offer $25,000 scholarships to 30 deserving students. That's $750,000 in award money! These are: the Foot Locker Student-Athlete Scholarship and the 1 for 2 Education Foundation Scholarship (see below for more details). As always, you'll get access to all our scholarship listings by signing up for a counselor account. In addition, we've partnered with schools and districts across the country (including the New York City Department of Education) to sponsor the FAFSAĀ® Made Easier and make it free for students to use. Here's how it works: Your seniors can use our form (with simplified questions, tax form previews, searchable FAQs, and expert help via chat/email), instead of the government one. You and other counselors/administrators can see detailed, real-time reporting of each student's progress through the FAFSAĀ® form, including which section a student is stuck on. For all this, your school/district pays a reduced rate of $10 per senior. See the brochure here, or schedule a no-commitment FAFSAĀ® demo. Kind regards, Charlie Maynard Co-founder & CEO

Sharon-Mutual Schools will not hold physical classes Thursday, October 29. Virtual classes will be held for all students. We know there are power outages which are affecting students and faculty. Students should check for announcements from your teacher through Google Classroom, Seesaw, or Blooms for contact instructions and available assignment instructions if possible. Every student should attempt to make contact with your teacher(s) and BE SURE TO ask your teachers classroom related questions you may have about assignments, technology or related issues. Teachers may not be able to respond due to possible outages, but make an attempt through email or text.
