College Board Opportunity Scholarships
Deadline July 31, 2020
The disruption from school closings is hard to navigate, but like you, the College Board is committed to ensuring rising seniors donāt lose college planning momentum. The College Board Opportunity Scholarships program is open to all students from the class of 2021 and guides them through important steps in the college planning process at their own pace at home.
When students take the first two stepsāexploring college and practicing for the SATĀ®ātheyāll qualify for $500 and $1,000 scholarships just by getting ready for college. And they donāt even have to get off the couch.
Help students build a college list: This $500 scholarship closes on July 31 for the class of 2021. Students can use their mobile phones or any other device to build a start list of colleges using the college planning site BigFutureā¢.
Support your students with SAT practice: Students become eligible for a $1,000 scholarship when they practice for at least 6 hours with Official SAT Practice on Khan AcademyĀ®.
Itās important to encourage students to complete the first stepābuilding a college listāby July 31 so they donāt miss out on a chance to win $40,000 for college.
This resource contains more information about supporting students at home to complete the first two steps: Build Your College List and Practice for the SAT. Students can head to cb.org/opportunity to get started.
Any student participating in ANY extra curricular activity needs a sports physical before beginning that sport. Alliance Health Care is offering free physicals through July 31.

Redlands Community College is currently offering high school juniors and seniors who are concurrently enrolled with Redlands Community College a scholarship that will help them pay their fees! This is the first time that our Foundation has offered this scholarship and it will help students tremendously, especially during these uncertain times with COVID-19.
For the 2020-2021 Academic Year, see the tuition waivers for juniors and seniors below:
Juniors will receive a full tuition waiver for up to 9 credit hours. Juniors are only covered for 9 credit hours meaning they are able to take up to 9 hours for the year (summer, fall, spring). This does not mean that they can take 9 hours per semester, unless they choose to take all tuition-waived 9 hours in a semester.
Seniors will receive a full tuition waiver for up to 18 credit hours. Seniors are only covered for 18 credit hours meaning they are able to take up to 18 hours for the year (summer, fall, spring). This does not mean that they can take 18 hours per semester, unless they choose to take all 18 hours in a semester.
For more information about the concurrent student scholarship and to apply, please click here: https://www.redlandscc.edu/concurrent-enrollment-fee-scholarship
This is a $100 scholarship for fees only. Students will still be responsible for their books and any additional fees if they choose to take more than one 3 credit-hour course during a semester.
